Generally safe: Lower lid blepharoplasty is almost always a cosmetic procedure not covered by insurance. It will improve the smoothness of the lids. It is very safe. The major risk is too aggressive surgery which can cause the lower lid to incompletely cover the eye leading to exposure and irritation requiring drops. Rarely the coverage is so incomplete that further surgery is needed. Risk is small.

Lower bleparoplasty: Lower lid blepharoplasty is a safe procedure. Patients need to be compliant with their surgeon's pre and postop instructions to optimize the results and the experience. Have your eyelids evaluated by a board certified surgeon with expertise in these procedures.
