No, please don't: Alcohol and antidepressants do not mix well, and using alcohol can exacerbate your depression/anxiety. Skipping meds is unwise also. Effexor (venlafaxine) requires consistent dosing for at least 4-6 weeks for effectiveness -- and maybe your wanting to drink alcohol now is evidence that you've had some improvement. If so, please don't mess it up. Best wishes.
