No, unless scratched: Cat scratches can carry pasturella multilocida. Can cause an infected wound. Otherwise don't worry.

Relax: It is an old wives tale that the cat will "steal the breath" of a kid.It doesn't happen. If they enjoy each other I don't see this as a problem.
