Pediatrics to check: A child 7 years or older with primary enuresis (meaning he always was a bed-wetter) might do a trial of DDAVP (desmopressin) tablets, after being seen by a pediatrician to be sure there isn't another medical cause for bed-wetting. Bed-wetting runs in some families, and is a developmental problem that children almost always outgrow. DDAVP can reduce enuresis, while parents wait for body maturation.
