Iodine intake: Unless you live in a very remote part of the world, or unless you consume a very unusual diet, there is probably already plenty of iodine in your diet, and more will not help your hypothyroidism. If your thyroid is failing, you need to take levothyroxine in an appropriate dose, and that will take care of the thyroid problem.
