Depends: Whether medi-cal pays depends on whether the doctor can demonstrate a need. The ct scan is a sophisticated type of x-ray. Medicine is becoming a more menue-based system with doctors as cooks and waiters. Those who pay for the services get to decide if expensive imaging studies are to be be consumed.
