Yes: A 0.5cm lining is normal... Of course depending on where you are at in your cycle. But 5mm is not too thick at all. Women with pcos often suffer from excess estrogen which can cause the lining of the uterus to become thicker than normal. Again, 5mm lining needs to be correlated with time in your cycle to give you an accurate answer.

PCOS ; bleeding: If you are having bleeding issues with your pcos, it would be wise to consult your gyn md for the answer to the thickened endometrium or biopsy as overgrowth of the endometrium is more cmmon with pcos.
