A member asked:

What is done for significant reflux to the clavicular head level. after an endoscopy is done by the gastroenterologlist . how then will they treat ?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Maybe not GERD...: A complete evaluation is key to determining if your symptoms are really reflux-related or not. Also, if reflux, is it acid or non-acid material that is involved? Sometimes, symptoms of lerd (as you describe) may be due to pulmonary, ent, or dental issues. If unresponsive to therapeutic dosing of acid blockers then resume your evaluation with the gastroenterology specialist to determine correct rx.
