A member asked:

My 5 month old baby has been on a few formulas and i can't find one that makes him happy wind, crying day/night can i try a lactose intolerenc formula?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Lactase def is rare: True lactase deficiency is very rare in infants. Most problems with formula are due to a sensitivity to the proteins that are typically from cow milk. They make partially hydrolyzed formulas like goodstart and gentlease and completely hydrolyzed formulas like alimentum and nutramigen. That said, some babies will due better with similac sensative. Try one for 1-2 weeks or call your md to discuss.
