Eating other solids: Generally, rice cereal can be stopped or cut back as soon as other solids, such as vegetables and fruit, are taken without difficulty. See your pediatrician or family doctor if there are other issues or concerns.

Rotate: You may want to rotate to different types of cereal and if he has eaten various veggies, you may want to start single item fruit slowly. Build up little menus where he gets a variety of cereal with fruit or veggies. Make it fun and use foods that naturally have different colors and textures. Use " in season" produce for best nutrients.
