My son (6mo) has violently thrown up rice cereal 3 times. he is breast fed only. i have heard of fpies. is this really rare? how concerning is this?

Stop the rice: If your child is only throwing up the rice, maybe just putting solids on hold for a while will help, granted he is otherwise healthy and thriving. If he is also throwing up breat milk and other fluids you need to take him in to be evaluated.
