Id like opinions on giving rice cereal to a 2 month old to help with reflux. our pediatrician mentioned it as a possibility but ive also read about it being an old school treatment that is now advised against. thanks in advance?

Thickening feeds: The idea is to thicken the feed so it stays down easier. Whether this is done by adding formula powder or rice cereal is less important than the fact that it helps many. I would never go to drugs first, which only help symptoms than try something more natural. Old schools taught good things & new treatments are not always better.
