Please see a doc: Anxiety can cause shortness of breath, however you could also have a simultaneous lung problem such as asthma. You should see your doctor for physical, chest xray and possibly spirometry.

Great Question: Anxiety can cause quick breathing and a sensation of "air hunger". However, sometimes medical conditions can contribute to shortness of breath. Please see your physician so you can be evaluated. Hope this answer helps.
