Variable term: "nervous breakdown" is a term used by non-physicians to describe a wide variety of situations involving extreme emotional distress, usually along with inability to perform expected social roles and functions. It is not a medical or psychiatric diagnosis, and could mean an infinite number of things to different people, if you're concerned about yourself in any way, i suggest medical evaluation.
