A member asked:

Can you tell me which advancements have been made in the field of amputations and artificial limbs?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Robotic limbs: There are both advances in both live donor and robotic amputation replacement surgery. Robotic replacement is so far more functionally advanced with a more useable limb and more predictability. Donor limbs have limited function and unpredictable results requiring life long immunosuppression. Both are still however in their infancy stages.
