Gauze: I find using dry gauze works the best. Consider using less fixodent and see your dentist about possibly having your dentures relined or remade or better yet, having implant retained dentures or teeth.

Denture adhesives: It is important to clean the denture and gums daily. This includes removing any residual denture adhesive. Try using a soft bristled tooth brush or a dry 2x2 gauze wrapped around a finger tip. Denture powders and pads are easier to clean. I get my tooth brush at the dollar store. Name brands for cheap!
