Carefully: Chill the dentures in cold water. Then use a wooden stick -- popsicle, tongue depressor, cuticle pusher-- or something that will not cut or scratch the acrylic, to scrape the gum off. Good luck.

Rub ice cube on gum: Chilling the gum seems to work best, but do not scrape or keep the ice on too long- don't want to create any cracks in the denture or denture teeth.

The best way: to remove gum from a denture is to place the dentures in the freezer and remove the gum residue with your fingers gently.

Good oral hygiene: I guess not. All profesionals would recommend good oral hygiene, toothbrush c toothpaste after any meal, dental floss, professional cleaning q 6 month, avoid sweets or candies to prevent dental decay. Fluoride applications may benefit specially during childhood. Diet and genetics play a rol. Oral hygiene makes a difference.

Is it safe to whiten your nails with denture cleansers?

4 doctor answers5 doctors weighed in
Dr. James Wright

Not recommended: Denture cleansers are designed to clean dentures while they are out of the mouth and should not be applied to dentures while they are still in the mouth. Your skin is the largest organ in your body... Since the skin which surrounds nails can absorb the toxins in the denture cleanser, another whitening solution which is safer would be recommended.
