Regular periods?: Women ovulate about 14 days before the start of the next menstrual period (unless they get pregnant or otherwise not have a "next period" for a while). Life is not exact, which means there is some normal variation from woman to woman. But, usually, one can just mark on the calendar when the first day of bleeding of the next period is. Then, count backwards 14 days to the estimated ovulation day.

Well: You are fertile for about 3 days. You should be using a kit that tests your urine and tells you when you are ovulating so you know when it is important to have sex. It should fall in the middle of your cycle and you should be keeping track of the start and stop of all dates. If you count backwards 14 days from the start of your last period you ovulated that day.
