Gastritis: Epigastric pain associated with vomiting can come from gastritis , most likely associated with food, usually self resolving. Clear liquids until pain subsides. If pain and vomiting persist beyond 24 hours better to be evaluated. However pain (around umbilicus then moving to right lower quadrant of abdomen ) followed by fever vomitting with loss of appetite is sequence in appendicitis.
