A member asked:

Little brother when he was 12 had a mandibular cyst, he had surgery for. he is now 13, has a lateral cyst with infection. should we carry out surgery ?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Lateral mandible cys: Sure. He needs to clear out the cyst and the area needs to be widely opened and the bone needs to be scraped. It should heal well. It does not appear to be related to the first one. The doctor or oral surgeon can send it to the pathologist. This is likely nothing to worry about. Good luck.!
