Ihad a bm, i had to use my finger to remove stuck stool.i wiped and there was bright red blood. it took a few pieces if tp clean it up. what happened?

Hello, Can't: Accurately state cause of blood with information available. One cause of rectal bleeding is an anal fissure. However, a fissure causes usually severe pain with a bm ; you didn't mention pain (so doubt that). Your fingernails could cause trauma to delicate rectal tissue - so that might be a reason. If stool was stuck - it could be hard, dry and bulking - that can abraide tissues ; cause bleeding.
