Small amounts of very bright red blood not mixed in with the stool and without bowel symptoms has the hallmarks of an anal fissure or hemorrhoids. The best exam would be by a proctologist or colorectal surgeon who'll perform a proctoscopic exam in the office. You'll receive a diagnosis and get proper treatment & follow-up. In the meantime apply warm compresses, pat dry, apply anusol, keep stool soft

At your age, the most likely cause of the symptoms would be an anal fissure or hemorrhoids. Eating more fiber could help these heal. If you have a family history of colon problems, such as: cancer, or if you note that the blood remains persistent, you should see your doctor or a gastroenterologist. Good luck.
