You may be able to bleach them and everything will be fine, but there could be other underlying issues that should be discussed first.

Yellowish teeth: I would see a dentist to see why the teeth are yellow. It could be a developmental thing it could be from an oral habit, have it checked out and see if cosmetic procedures such as bleaching of your teeth, veneering or bonding would be indicated to get you happy with their appearance.
