There : There are two types of staining-extrinsic-coffee, tea, red wine, etc. And intrinsic-color from the underlying dentin layer of your teeth. Surface irregularities and tooth wear will not only affect surface color by attracting stain but also allowing the darker internal color of the tooth to show through. Anytime these factors vary from tooth to tooth you may notice color variation.

The : The color of your teeth stems from its internal color, the dentine showing through the lighter color of the enamel. The enamel becomes etched by acid food and rinks in the mouth and the roughened surface collects plaque and stain and varying rates. My first recommendation is that you have your teeth professionally cleaned and polished smooth at the dentist's office right away. If your teeth are staining it is quite possible that your home care may not be as efficient as it could be. Do not be offended by this assertion the fact is that most people have some room for improvement when it comes to oral hygiene, and many people are remarkably inefficient. I wouldn't worry about your teeth not being evenly stained, although in might have something to do with the bonded fillings with which they may be restored, i would be more concerned with getting my teeth evenly cleaned. With my best wishes dr neil mcleod dds dentistry that lasts - quality that counts.
