Phlebitis: Phlebitis... Inflammation at the IV site... This needs to be ruled out... You may need a course of antibiotics... Call your doctors office.

Arm swelling: Causes of fever here include arm swelling at IV site. Likely some clotting in vein damaged by iv. Also heart attack can cause low grade fever for a few days.
