Absent Eyelashes: The more irritation that a hair follicle sustains the more the chances that scar tissue will develop and thus the loss of eyelashes. The hair follicle can take only so much abuse. Leave the eyelids along, and you may be lucky to have some regrowth. There is no way to predict whether there will be regrowth.
