Trichotillomania: Tx is based on age. At preschool age, tx is conservative since most will outgrow it. For young adults, behavior modification (habit reversal training, cognitive behavior therapy, biofeedback, hypnosis) & treating the associated disorders such as anxiety/depression/ptsd/ocd. Some medications used with moderate success are Anafranil & prozac (fluoxetine).
