Difficult to Say Now: Some evidence supports higher risk of bipolar ; other mental illnesses in families but no clear connections on whether it is genetic. Fibromyalgia does have some genetic connection. With current studies ; the human genome project more information is gained daily. While we can't say for certain now, it may not be long before we can.The good news is all these are much more controllable every day.
