Emotional lability: Is a rare side effect of seroquel (quetiapine). . It can also be caused by low or high thyroid, potassium abnormalities, and other hormonal abnormalities as well as vitamin deficiencies. I would recommend that you see your family doctor about this and discuss it with her psychiatrist. Seroquel (quetiapine) has been known to cause hypothyroidism in a small percentage of people who take it and this could lead to emotional lability as well. Best wishes and i hope you have a happy holiday season.
