Type 2 diabetic. is thereally anything that can be done about lipolysis? gaining the weight back?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Type 2 DM: Your question is hard to understand. Lipolysis is the release of lipid (fatty acid) from your fat cells. This occurs when you're fasting and allows the stored fat to feed the rest of your body. Insulin suppresses this, but less so when you are insulin-resistant (t2dm). Solution: become less Insulin resistant. How? Weight loss, exercise; metformin and pioglitazone are useful drugs for this.
