A member asked:

I have tooth sensitivity to hot and cold foods. what could a dentist do for it?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Exam and treat: The dentist will do a thorough exam to determine the source of your tooth sensitivity. It could be due to dental decay (aka caries, cavities) or demineralization of the enamel. If so, the dentist will formulate a treatment plan to treat your problems. A prescription Fluoride toothpaste or otc toothpaste such as sensodyne might help.
