My 5 month old baby has broncholitis dr has put him on ventolin syrup could you please explain to me what this is?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Bronchodilator.: Baby's bronchi have muscle in the walls; part of the problem in bronchiolitis is that they swell and tighten up and narrow the airway. Ventolin causes them to relax so the baby can breathe more easily.
