Maybe: The clicking may stop if you fix the malocclusion. You may also need to wear a mouthguard to stabilize the new bite.

Tmj: Before beginning orthodontics you may want a consult with a doctor who sees a lot of patients with your problems. Braces may or may not correct the problem. The clicking is due to the disc sliding off the jaw bone (condyle). An appliance like an occlusal guard may be needed prior to braces to see if the artificial change gained will reduce your symptoms. You may also want to see a p. Therapist.

Possibly: The statistics are that about 90% of people who have a malocclusion and joint symptoms experience a reduction in joint symptoms during and following correction of the malocclusion. Talk to an Orthodontic Specialist.

Possibly: Possibly. I would discuss this with a board certified orthodontist (many are not) who is well versed in TMJ/TMD.

Possible: Many jaw pain and jaw clicking issues dissipate when the corresponding malocclusion issues are addressed. No guarantees, but you have a pretty good chance of getting the issue resolved through orthodontics
