A member asked:

Sometimes root of the hair at certain region of head hurts. what might be the reason?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Seborrhea scalp: Seborrhea scalp associated with localized inflammation can be tender. Usually over the counter selenium sulfide shampoo helps. If that does not work then see your pcp who may give you a stronger strength along with some other topical lotion. At the same time other scalp conditions can be ruled out.
