Important: Fever and rashes, particularly rashes that are purple, can be serious. Without knowing more about your baby's signs and symptoms, it sounds like she should be seen and evaluated today, even if this means taking her to an er. Some serious bacterial infections (cellulitis) can have symptoms like you describe.
