"slapped cheeks ": Child probably has erythema infectiosum, or "slapped cheeks illness" It is viral and nothing much to worry about; Until Mom knows for sure if follows typical path, should stay away from pregnant ladies. Human Parvo virus B19 is cause; generally also have low fever and possibly sore throat our respiratory symptoms. Also, environmental insults like sunblock or any irritating chemical possible?
