See dentist : Any time discomfort or unusual symptoms are present for more than three days or occur more than three times, the problem is bigger than you think. Could be bite is off or abscess brewing. You need professional attention and asap.

See your dentist: There's no reason to be uncomfortable. Call your dentist and ask to be seen to evaluate the cause of your discomfort. We can't tell (and neither can you) whether the pain is coming from that tooth or an adjacent one. This happens all the time. Even if it is the same tooth eliciting the pain, it could be a simple fix or more complicated. Your dentist will know what to do. Call.
