Probably!: The difference is that there won't be the unknown of cancer to deal with. Cancer can be more widespread than anticipated, and can change surgical decisions, making the surgery longer and more complex. Cancer can also create inflammation in the area, making the tissue "sticky" and harder to remove. However, other non-cancer problems like chronic pancreatitis can make surgery challenging as well.
