Pressure: The act of crying puts pressure on the front and backs of our heads and on the front of our heads is where our lips reside as well as our eye lids and noses,all of which tend to become a bit swollen when we cry due to increased blood flow to these appendages with the act of crying. When you cry,you are forcefully exerting pressure outwards from your head,which increases the blood flow and swelling
