?early sign?: Numbness in legs and feet could be due to peripheral nerve problems or issues in your lower back area, but the presence of these symptoms does not necessarily predict local blood clots which can lead to embolisms unless you also have weakness which leads to immobilization which can promote thrombo-phlebitis.
