Gently Pull: Partial dentures are designed to be inserted and removed in only one path... This keeps them from wobbling in your mouth and putting extraneous forces on the supporting teeth. If you are having trouble gently removing them, please have your dentist adjust them and actually show you ho it is done. Practice a dozen times in the office until you are comfortable doing it on your own.

Go back to the offic: If you are having time removing your partial, it may be too tight, ask your dentist to adjust it for you. You should not have any problems removing it, and you must take it out to clean and for hygiene purposes.

Removing Partials: If you are having difficulty in removing you partial denture, return to your dds/dmd who will be happy to help you out. Partials and dentures need to be removed after every meal..Period. Washed and cleaned. Brush remaining teeth, and the inside of the partial. They must be out of the mouth for 4 continuous hours daily. They are not meant to stay in 24/7. Grows bad things in them if you do!

Partial dentures: Should not be that difficult to remove. If you are having difficulty, best to return to the dentist that made then to have them adjusted. Hope this helps.

Finger nails: You need fingernails that are not too long or too short. For a an upper partial, place your fingernails on the claps of the partial on both sides and pull down at the same time.

Fingers & nails: Partial dentures are removed with your fingers and more easily with your fingernails, by grabbing the acrylic saddles or the metal clasps. Generally they need to be removed carefully by using both hands at the same time in a gentle rocking action away from the gums (down on upper partials, and up on lower partials).

It is simple...: Using your fingers you should be able to lift them out. The dentist should be able to adjust them to allow for the removable to go smoothly.

By lifting up: Place your finger tips under the pink flange areas and/or clasps and push up or pull down depending upon which jaw is involved.
