Never heard of it : I've been an active pediatrician for more than 3 decades and never heard of or seen diverticulitis in kids. Rather than finger-like outgrowths of the large bowel (diverticulae), kids tend to form a reversible, balloon like , over-sized colon in cases of chronic stool retention.
