Common.: A low grade temperature (high 99s to 100s) is common with diverticulitis. Usually people have left lower abdominal pain (70% of people). It is sometimes accompanied by nausea and vomiting (20-60%), constipation (50%), or diarrhea (25-35%). However, if you have no fever, but have all the other symptoms, see your doctor, because you can still have diverticulitis without a temperature! cheers!

Common: As with all infections, fever is a hallmark symptom. The diverticuli are intestinal pockets that allow food debris and bacteria to accumulate and fester. Abdominal pain and fever would be consistent with this, so a visit to an md (preferentially a gastroenterologist) is a wise idea. Good luck!
