Off label - mixed: Reviews of this - usually in combination with other meds for bipolar generally are positive about the mood stabilizing effects. However, other side effects are a problem for some users and a tendency to cut appetite and cause weight loss is desired or a problem depending on your specific case. It was not meant for this, but off-label uses are becoming rampant for many meds. Happy holidays!

Topamax (topiramate): Topamax (topiramate) can be used for treatment of Bipolar Disorder. I don't usually use it as my first line medication. More often use it with another medication that stabilizes mood.
