No, You're OK: The anesthesia will last anywhere from 45 minutes to 6-hours, depending on what type of local anesthesia was used for the procedure. Just relax, do exactly what the doctor told you do for the post-operative period and go back for your post-op visit. If the numbing is still there tomorrow, call your dentist and be seen, but you sound like you should be just fine.

Normal: Not to worry. Sometimes the surgeon will use a long-acting anesthetic to keep you comfortable. May last 6 - 8 hours. Use your ice and rest, but don't worry. Good luck.

Normal: Numbness from a local anesthetic can last 3-6 hours. It is very common and normal. If concerned call your dentist after 7 hours.
