Can you tell me how to treat hemorrhoid without undergoing surgery?

Dr. Eric Kaplan answered

Specializes in Colon and Rectal Surgery

Best way: Is to eat a high fiber diet, drink 80-100oz of caffeine free/alcohol free fluid daily, more if you exercise, avoiding constipation and diarrhea, don't read on the toilet, have a bm in 5 minutes or less or come back later for your bm. Avoid straining. If you have an enlarged prostate(male) and strain to urinate, see a urologist. Otherwise see a colon and rectal surgeon for the hemorrhoids.
