How to get a 18 month old to keep his glasses on?

Not easy: You need to select frames where the sides have ear pieces that wrap around the ear pinnae. You also need to have one of the elasticized bands that hook to the glasses and then hug the glasses to the face. Once he wears them consistently for around two weeks, he will notice how much better vision is with them, and then tend to leave them alone. Those first few weeks are the h*** ones!

LOL He is normal: Persistence and there are some straps that go around the back of the head to help keep them on. It may also be possible they are uncomfortable or maybe he does not like how they correct his vision...ask the eye doctor and be sure the prescription is correct. You can also try incremental increases in time worn...start with 5 min, then 10 etc until he has become accustomed to wearing them.
