Get treated: That is a fairly common combination. Intermediate uveitis is an inflammatory condition, and can cause macualr edema as a secondary problem. When there is macular edema, esp. With vision loss, then intermediate uveitis should definitely be treated until it quiets down. The macular edema may or may not resolve after treating the primary condition, and may require additional treatments.
