Bunion surgery: Immediately after surgery, there will be some pain but usually only for a few days. There can be swelling for 6 months or so - not necessarily significant swelling the purpose is to make something better , so shoe gear should feel better. Speak to your prospective surgeon with these same questions. There is more than be written here.
