With some difficulty: In interpretation, depending on the degree of fibrocystic changes. If you have a positive family history, or if the mammogram cannot be interpreted properly, an ultrasound might also be necessary. Confer with your doctor to make sure.

The mammogram will: be performed in standard fashion. Whether or not the sensitivity of the mammo will be compromised by increased breast density can't be determined until the mammogram is done. Sometimes women who seem to have fibrocystic disease clinically do not have dense breasts mammographically.
